PEX Tubing is commonly used forms of pipes that own great strength, durability, flexibility and robustness. Due to great properties owned by these tubes they are considered most ideal piping units to be used in numerous sorts of applications. Such pipes are made with highly qualitative material known as cross linked polyethylene that is chemically compressed in order to provide robust yet elastic structure to the tubes. There are three different forms of such pipes that can be used to cater distinct applications. This classification of tubes made with PEX is done on basis of flexibility and strength possessed by them.
PEX – A: This is the foremost form of tubes made with PEX. These pipes are crafted through the process of Engel. Under this process the peroxide is used to facilitate the working of cross linkage of polyethylene molecules. These molecules are made to come together under very high temperature level and at extremely high level of heat above the melting point of crystals of peroxide. These are most strong and durable forms of tubes made with PEX.
PEX – B: This is second form of tubes that are made with PEX through process of moisture cure. Under this process, a group of silicon hydroxide that is similar to hydrocarbons of paraffin is linked together. The cross linking of these molecules is done by supplying heat along with specific level of moisture. The PEX Tubing resulted out of this method is not as strong as PEX – A tube.
PEX – C: This is final form of tubes that are made by passing the polyethylene molecules through an electronic beam a number of times. This is the most energy efficient form of linkage that provides powerful tubes. These tubes are ideal for domestic plumbing applications.
So, depending on application to be served, individuals can select any form of PEX Tubing for their plumbing systems.
